Never touched tiles before? No problem. Need a refresher? Let’s go. This session is made for you!
Meet the tiles, explore the Charleston, start deciphering the NMJL Card, and play your first guided Mahjong game.
Learning mahjong pairs perfectly with a glass of local wine (available for purchase from Santa Barbara Wine Collective)—and pairs even better with follow-up learning sessions (Session A/B or Session B, coming this Spring!), to keep the momentum going. Come learn the basics, bring some friends or make some friends, and get your mahj on!

Need a midweek reset? Join Riviera Mahj Society at SB Wine Collective for instructor-supported open play mahjong.
Come and discover The BIG Card, by The Mahjong Line. All gameplay equipment is provided and attendees will leave with their own copy of The BIG Card to continue the fun wherever you play. Designed for those with a foundational understanding of the game, this session offers guided play in a relaxed, social setting. Instructors will be available throughout the evening to assist with gameplay, answer questions, and provide light guidance. Fabulous local wines will be available for purchase through SB Wine Collective.
