Beginner Mahjong: Session A – Start by Playing at Frequency Wine Company

In this first session, you'll jump straight into the game. You'll meet the tiles, learn the basics of game setup, explore a beginner-friendly introduction to the Charleston, and play your first rounds of Mahjong in a welcoming and supportive environment.
The goal isn't perfection. It isn't winning. It isn't even remembering every rule by the end of the session. Mahjong is a game best learned by doing, and Session A is designed to help you become comfortable sitting at the table, recognizing tiles, and understanding the flow of the game.
Frequency Wine Company's wines and snacks will be available for purchase throughout the event.
This session pairs perfectly with our follow-up beginner offerings, including Session B – Build the Flow and Session C – Play with Confidence, which continue to build skills and confidence through guided gameplay.
